Most people use so many hair products to enhance their hair color and bring out its vibrancy or simply just to make it healthier and shinier than ever. I, too, am guilty of that. Monthly trips to the salon, frequent beauty supplies store shopping – count me in! The result, I suffer from damaged hair due to chemical treatments that I often do like straightening and coloring. There are so many products out there and hair treatments that promise to take care of my hair and bring out its natural beauty. Most hair treatments in salons can be very expensive and time consuming so I mostly buy hair products I can use at home instead. Shea moisture is one of the hair brands I trust when it comes to taking care of my hair. Why so, you ask? Here are a few things why I am deeply in-love with this deep leave-in conditioner.
- It contains all the natural goodness of shea butter to enhance moisture and shine of my hair and at the same time making it healthier than ever. It contains pro-vitamin b5 which has long been known to protect hair from damage and breakage due to frequent combing, styling and heating. I get the natural goodness of pro-vitamin b5 plus all other ingredients in one bottle of Shea moisture leave in conditioner. I am nature lover; I love everything organic so yes, I love this product so much!
- Shea moisture has been one of my favorite go-to products ever since it came out in the market. Leave in conditioners are equally important and more intense in repairing damaged hair that have been stretched and prone to breakage due to frequent combing, chemical treatments and styling. My hair is guilty of that! Pleas don’t put me in jail. Leave in conditioners provide a longer and more intense repair than regular conditioner thus I need to leave it on my hair for it to work its magic leaving me with healthy looking, shiny and vibrant hair. This is one of the many reasons why I am so in love with this leave in conditioner.
- It is great even for curly hair. I do curl my hair sometimes. I had it straightened but sometimes I curl it. I am that bipolar, you know. It helped define my curls even more and enhances their shape so I get that perfect looking and bouncy curls. It also deeply moisturizes the hair so it looks healthy and nourished all day long. This product has indeed satisfied me with how vibrant and healthy my hair has become after using it for a period of time. It stays on for so long as you haven’t washed your hair yet. Even on second day hair you can still see its hold and effect. Truly, this product without a doubt did not disappoint me as it delivers and lives up to what it is made for – make your hair healthier, shinier and more vibrant especially if you very dry, brittle and damaged hair like mine.
- Another plus point about this product is that it smells really great. Some products out there can smell very chemically and unnatural that which I really hate. Having such smell can mean that it is heavily loaded with chemicals that my hair won’t positively react with and can cause even further damage. This product smells natural with all the goodness of Shea butter so I am sure that I am getting mostly, if not all, natural ingredients. Also, my hair stayed smelling so good for an entire day. Heaven indeed for my hair!
Hating Shea Moisture?
As with any product sold in the market today, there are also some aspects of this product that I did not like. Some people are born with voluminous hair and some have just flat, gravity-pulled looking hair. I am the former. Yes, sometimes I go out of the house looking like I just got out of the bed. But hey, it gives me character. This product gave me more volume that I really did not need. The first time I used this, my hair was like a poodle’s. I am no dog but I guess I did look like one that moment. If you already have too much of a volume that you can no longer handle more, skip this product. But, if there is still room for some I advice that you only put a small amount. I may have put too much of the product that day hence the effect. I am guilty I suppose of overusing the product. I have learned my lesson now, less is actually more.
Overall Verdict
In general though, Shea moisture is a product I highly recommended to all of you as it generally moisturizes the hair making it look healthier and more vibrant than ever. Also, it locks in all the moisture the hair has after washing it with your favorite shampoo and conditioner. This leave in conditioner further moisturizes and treats damaged hair leaving it silky smooth and shiny even on the second day. You need to treat your hair to some leave-in conditioner too and restore its health and vibrancy. If you want your hair to look more stunning and healthy Shea moisture is the product you should try. You may not see it but my hair is as healthy and as shiny as a horse’s – and not a poodle’s — anymore.
